Format: 1080 i When sending an HD format spot, an SD format spot with a unique isci code must also be sent. |

| Closed Captioning |
Paid programs must be Closed Captioned. Base of the captioning signal must rest between 0 and 2 IRE (digital or analog), and reach a level of 350 mV. Captions must decode correctly when using a standard decoder such as the products made by EEG Enterprises, Evertz, Link Electronics, or Norpak. Closed captions must be encoded on line 21 of the vertical blanking interval. |

Clearance copies are required only for alcoholic beverages, movies, video games, satellite service providers, political, and all spots airing on Discovery Kids. No other clearance materials need to be sent unless the client specifically requests pre-clearance. We prefer to handle all clearance via email and MediaVu. If you are unable to send creative via email or post to an FTP site, send one CD, DVD or VHS to the address listed below – Attn: Clearance, 5th Floor. Paid Program and DR viewing copies should be sent to the address listed below – Attn: DR/PP, 6th Floor. |

Media must be received five business days prior to air for all networks unless otherwise indicated. Commercial and Billboard instructions are to be faxed to each individual network. Prior to, or immediately following instruction and/or creative transmission (new or revised), phone call notification to your commercial operations contact is required. Media that remain inactive for 90 days will be discarded. |
